Valley of Flowers to Open From June 1 as Tourist Excitement Grows in 2026

The famous Valley of Flowers National Park in Uttarakhand is set to open for tourists from June 1, 2026, bringing excitement among travelers, trekkers, and nature lovers across India. Known for its breathtaking Himalayan landscapes and colorful alpine flowers, the UNESCO World Heritage Site attracts thousands of visitors every year.

Tourism officials expect a huge rise in bookings this season as travel interest in mountain destinations continues to grow. Hotels, homestays, and trekking operators in the Chamoli region have already started receiving inquiries from tourists planning summer trips to the valley.

The Valley of Flowers remains one of India’s most popular monsoon trekking destinations and is famous for rare Himalayan flowers, green meadows, waterfalls, and scenic trekking routes. The best blooming season is usually between July and August, when the valley transforms into a colorful natural landscape.

Travel experts say improved road connectivity, social media travel trends, and rising adventure tourism are helping Uttarakhand attract more young travelers and families in 2026. Nearby destinations like Hemkund Sahib are also expected to witness increased tourist footfall during the season.

Authorities have advised visitors to complete registrations early because the number of daily entries inside the national park remains limited during peak months. Trekking enthusiasts are also being encouraged to follow eco-friendly travel guidelines to protect the fragile Himalayan environment.
